Winter has arrived!

Jun 01, 2015

With the Adelaide Cup Carnival over, racing in the State now hits a quiet patch. Whilst the stable still has many two year olds coming through, and a few older horses still in work, it's fair to say that the majority of the better horses have gone to the paddock to prepare for the Spring.

One exception to this is Counter Pulse, who is racing in great form after another brilliant win on Saturday. He will continue on to run in a SABOIS only race, which is worth $100,000 on the 6th July. Should he win this it will cap off a great preparation for him, having already won 3 races.

You will notice that Clare Lindop has been missing from your racing guides, as she is currently taking a well earned break in Europe. In her absence Jason Holder and Siggy Carr have been doing the bulk of the work, admirably.

On a personal note, I am recovering from a hip replacement and doing fine! Things are going extremely well and both me and the horses will be up and firing for the Spring! Thanks to everyone for their kind messages over this time, I've really appreciated it.

Cheers, Leon
